Quick Reference Guide
This quick reference guide explains the basic
function settings and how to shoot and playback
images. You can take this guide with you when
shooting. For detailed instructions, refer to the
EOS REBEL T2i/EOS 550D Instruction Manual.

Insert the battery.
Attach the lens.

Align the lens’ white or red
index with the camera’s
index in the matching color.
Set the lens focus
mode switch to
<
f>.
Open the cover
and insert a SD
card.
Set the power switch
to <
1>.
The
M on the right of the function indicates that the function is
available only in Creative Zone modes (
d,s,f,a,8).
Battery Life
Set the Mode Dial to
<
1> (Full Auto).
All the necessary camera settings
will be set automatically.
Focus the subject.
Aim the viewfinder center over
the subject and press the shutter
button halfway to autofocus.
Take the picture.
Press the shutter button
completely to take the
picture.
View the image.
The captured image will be
displayed for approx. 2 sec.
on the LCD monitor.

V> key to select the desired item.

0> to display the setting.

These screens apply when a
Creative Zone mode is set.
In Basic Zone modes and
Movie shooting mode, the
tabs and menu options
displayed will be different.

With the shooting settings
displayed, press the <
Q> button.
The Quick Control screen will
appear.
Press the <
S> key to select the function, then turn the <6>
dial to set it.
In the Basic Zone modes (except
C), you can select certain
drive modes and the image-recording quality.
Select [
1 Quality], then press <0>.
Press the <
U> key to select the quality, then press <0>.
