When [Multi Shot Noise Reduction] is Set
z If there is significant misalignment in the image due to camera shake, the
noise reduction effect may become smaller.
z If you are handholding the camera, keep it steady to prevent camera shake.
Using a tripod is recommended.
z If you shoot a moving subject, the moving subject may leave afterimages.
z The image alignment may not function properly with repetitive patterns
(lattice, stripes, etc.) or flat, single-tone images.
z If the subject’s brightness changes as the four consecutive shots are taken,
irregular exposure in the image may result.
z After shooting, it may take some time to record an image to the card after
performing noise reduction and merging the images. During the image
processing, “ buSy ” will be displayed in the viewfinder, and you cannot take
another picture until the processing is complete.
z You cannot use AEB and white balance bracketing.
z If [ z : Long exp. noise reduction] , AEB, or white balance bracketing is set,
[Multi Shot Noise Reduction] cannot be set.
z Although flash photography is not possible, in low light, raising the flash
beforehand is recommended, to enable firing of the AF-assist beam.
However, the AF-assist beam will be emitted according to the setting of [ z :
AF-assist beam firing] .
z You cannot set [Multi Shot Noise Reduction] for bulb exposures.
z If you turn off the power, change the shooting mode to a Basic Zone mode,
shoot a bulb exposure, or shoot a movie, the setting will automatically be
changed to [Standard] .
z [ z : Dust Delete Data] cannot be set.
Long Exposure Noise Reduction
Noise reduction is possible with images exposed for 1 sec. or longer.
