Up to 8 readers
The RS-485 interface on GV-AS Bridge can support up to 8 readers. When connecting
multiple readers, you must assign each one a unique ID so that GV-AS Bridge can recognize
them. For how to configure the reader
’s ID, see
8.7 ID, DESFire and GID Settings
.
Input 1
of the reader is for a Door Sensor with NC (Normal Closed) and
Input 2
is for an Exit
Button with NO (Normal Open); neither of these settings can be changed. The reader's
Relay
is made for a Door Lock, and you can switch between NO and NC by using the
reader's switch. See
8.3 Physical Descriptions
.
Note:
Based on the connected output (Door Lock) on GV-DFK1355, only the door alarm
statuses "Held Open", "Force Open", and
“Lockdown” are available on GV-Cloud Access
Control.
Force Open
⚫
When "Force Open" is enabled on the reader, it will continue to beep, and the alarm
status can only be cleared using GV-Cloud Access Control, or swipe a valid access
card.
Held Open
⚫
The
“Held Open” alarm is generated when Held Open Time expires, which begins to
countdown when the door lock is engaged but the door remains open.
⚫
When the
“Held Open” alarm is generated, the reader will continue to beep until the
door is closed.
