5. Close the document cover gently so that the document does
not move.
Note:
❏ Make sure the document is flat against the glass surface,
otherwise the scanned image will be out of focus. Also be sure
to close the document cover to prevent interference from
external light.
❏ Always keep the document table clean. See “Cleaning the
Stylus Scan” on page 11-21.
❏ Do not leave photographs on the document table for an extended
period of time as they may stick to the glass.
❏ Do not place heavy objects on top of the Stylus Scan.
6. Start your scanner software.
