5.10.2 Defining the Network Parameters for Network A or
Network
B
As a final network configuration step, unique settings (e.g. assignment of an IP
address) have to be established for at least one of the network interfaces
located at the back of the CATCenter X8 so that the CATCenter X8 can be
reached.
The CATCenter X8 has two network interfaces located at the back of the
device.

Please note that the settings under "Network A" only affect the physical
interface "Network A" on the CATCenter X8.
Since the settings for Network A and Network B are identical, these settings
are explained below using Network A only.
To establish these settings, use the
UP ARROW
and/or
DOWN ARROW
keys
on your keyboard or the mouse to select the entry NETWORK A in the
NETWORK MANAGEMENT submenu and then press
ENTER
. The following
window opens:

The second line of the header displays the MAC address of the network
interface Network A. This cannot be edited.
Use the field Assignment to determine whether the CATCenter receives:
A static IP address (static) or
A dynamic IP address (DHCP) or
No IP address (off)
