5.8.5
Establishing the Communication Mode of the RS232
Interface
Use the menu item "RS232 Service" to determine which function or service is
assigned to the RS232 interface on the front of the CATCenter.
The following selections are available:
HardBoot:
If this service is selected, the CATCenter requests the
status of a connected HardBoot and sends commands
used to turn outlets on and off.
If you want to turn targets on and off using the CATCenter,
you should activate this service here. This function is
active by default.
Since HardBoot must always be operated with a fixed baud
rate of 9600 baud, the entry "RS232-BAUDRATE" (see
Chapter 5.8.6
) cannot be modified.
Debug:
This service is reserved for G&D service technicians.
5.8.6

57600
115200
The RS232-BAUDRATE can only be set when the function DEBUG has been
activated under the menu item RS232. Otherwise, this entry is not editable.
