5.10 Establishing and Editing Network Settings
In the NETWORK submenu, you can establish the network settings for your
CATCenter X8. A submenu that allows you to establish the following settings
opens when you press the
ENTER key:
N e t w o r k M a n a g e m e n t
Global
Network A
Network B
ESC
You can establish the following settings in this menu:
 The gateway used to access the CATCenter X8
 The IP addresses and Network A & Network B (found at the back of
the CATCenter X8).
In addition, you can use this menu to access the toolware "CATCenter Xview"
included in the scope of delivery (see the
CATCenter Xview Manual ).
Press the
ESC key to exit this menu.
5.10.1 Gateway Definition
The standard gateway must be defined so that the CATCenter can be reached
from all parts of more complex networks.
To do so, use the
UP ARROW and/or DOWN ARROW keys on your keyboard
or the mouse to select the entry GATEWAY in the NETWORK MANAGEMENT
submenu and then press
ENTER .
