Recommended Standard Designations
The new designation of the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) supersedes Recommended
Standard (RS) designations. References to the old RS designations may be shown when depicting
actual text (e.g., RS-232) as displayed on the unit’s Web Server Interface pages or frontpanel
menus. All other references in the manual will be shown with the EIA designations.
Metric Conversion
Metric conversion information is located on the inside back cover of this manual. This
information is provided to assist the operator in cross-referencing non-Metric to Metric
conversions.
The user should carefully review the following information:
Safety and Compliance
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Compliance
Properly shielded cables for DATA I/O are required in order to meet the European
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive (EN55022, EN50082-1). More specifically,
these cables must be shielded from end-to-end, ensuring a continuous ground shield.
In accordance with European Directive 2004/108/EEC, the CPA family of products has been
shown, by independent testing, to comply with the following standards:

is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by
the manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local and national
regulations
