Example: Self adhesive material with a black bar across the label
Measured values: Backing paper 30
Backing paper + label: 60
Backing paper + label + black bar: 190
Value to be adjusted: 60, i.e. all measured values higher than 60 will be ignored,
as well the black bar ( = 190)
„Auto“
at materials with one contrast area = gap within a label
„MAN“ + „F x“ at material with several, different contrast areas
6.4 IFAC: Interface Parameter
In this submenu the settings for the communication ports are done.
Type of interface ________________________________________________ PORT
For normal communication the RS232 connection is used. Only downloading a new program
has to be done via the centronics interface.

Serial interface (V24/DB25, RS232)
„CENT“ Parallel interface (Centronics)
Selection of Spooler Size __________________________________________SPOL
The spooler size can be selected in accordance with requirements specific to the customer. It
influences the maximum print format if no RAM card is used for storage extension.
„8KB“
8kbyte, same for 16,32,64 KB
CAUTION! - All data stored in the printer buffer are cleared!
Spooler Mode ___________________________________________________ BMOD
By this mode of operation execution of single print series ( the interface is only ready for
reception after printout of the desired label quantity ) in accordance with the requirements
specific to the customer can be defined, or whether printing data can be received from the
spooler during printing of multiple series.
„BOF“ Single print series mode
„BON“Multiple print series mode
Filter for characters <20H __________________________________________ <20H
YES Filter enabled. Characters with a hex number below 20H will be filtered out of the data
stream.
NO Filter disabled. Characters with a hex number below 20H are treated as normal
characters.
