BLOW ER HOUSING REMOVAL:
Rem ove the capscrew s that retain the Blow er Hous­
ing to the Engine Plate, along w ith flat w ashers, lock
w ashers and hex nuts. Note positions of longer and
shorter screw s, for reassem bly.

SECTION 1.4- MAJOR COMPONENTS
(UNITS WITH 10 INCH STATOR)
ENGINE PLATE REM OVAL:
Rem ove starter retaining bolts and rem ove starter.
Rem ove bolts that retain the engine plate. Rem ove the
engine plate.
ROTOR REMOVAL;
Rem ove capscrew s and w ashers that retain the Cou­
pling Plate to the Ring Gear. Rem ove Rotor, Cooling
Fan, Drive Hub and Coupling Plate as a unit.
If desired, the Cooling Fan, Drive Hub and Coupling
Plate m ay be rem oved from the Rotor.
Components Inspection and Testing
GENERAL;
Follovving disassem bly, generator com ponents
should be cleaned, dryed and inspected or tested.
Never reassem ble a generator w ith defective or
dam aged parts. Store parts In a dean, dry area.
