REMOTE PANELS

REMOTE PANELS
General
Optional panels are available w hich m ake it possi­
ble to start and stop the generator set from a rem ote
location in the vehicle housing the unit. The follow ing
panels and w iring harnesses are available for use w ith
w ater-cooled diesel engine units:
□ Model 9044 start/stop panel. Panel features (a) a
start/stop sw itch, (b) startup advisory lam p, (c) a
preheat sw itch, and (d) a m ounting plate.
□ Model 9047 w iring harness. This 30 foot harness
perm its the M odel 9044 start/stop panel to be con­
nected to the generator.
□ Model 9061 rem ote gauge panel. Panel m ounts (a)
a start/stop sw itch, (b) a preheat sw itch, (c) oil pres­
sure gauge, (d) a DC voltm eter, (e) coolant tem per­
ature gauge, and (0 an hourm eter.
□ Model 9118 w iring harness is 30 feet long. Harness
perm its the M odel 9061 rem ote panel to be con­
nected to the generator.
Model 9044 Start/Stop Panel
GENERAL:
The Model 9044 Rem ote Panel is show n in Figure
1, below . The panel includes (a) a stop/start sw itch, (b)
a preheat sw itch, and (c) a generator run lam p.
PANEL MOUNTING;
The rem ote panel is designed to be flush-m ounted
to a w all in the vehicle that houses the generator. Figure
2 show s the w all cutout dim ensions for m ounting the
panel.
OPTIONAL REMOTE W IRING HARNESS;
Use the Model 9047 w iring harness to install the
Model 9044 rem ote panel. The 6-w ire harness is 30 feet
long and includes a connector plug w hich m ust be
plugged into the generator’s rem ote panel receptacle
(Figure 3).
