8. Software protect

Separately from the “PROTECT” switch on the rear panel, this menu protects you from activating key operations
on the panel except for some keys.

• ON: This setting disables operations except for that of the “PARAMETER” key, above menu setting in the

“UTILITY” menu, INPUT LEVEL, OUTPUT LEVEL, and switches the “THRU” switch.
Bulk data and parameter change from MIDI IN terminal and RS-485 terminal cannot be received.
However, program change from RS-485 can be received and time code event can be executed.

• OFF: All the operations are enabled (when “PROTECT” switch on the rear panel is “OFF”).

☆ When the software protect in the above menu is set to “ON”, and if you try to change the parameter to be

protected, the following is displayed.
