@ BYPASS key
When the Bypass key is pressed and its LED indicator lights, the selected EQ program is completely bypassed and
the direct, unequalized signal is fed to the unit’s output connectors. This key can be used if you do not wish to
change the EQ parameter settings.
® UTILITY key
The UTILITY key recalls all the system setting menus for either DEQ5 settings or MIDI related settings.
® PARAMETER keys
These keys are used to select and modify parameters within the currently selected program, to increase or decrease
numeral values and to turn modes on/off when adjusting EQ parameters.
“ @ ” or “ [g ” in the menu indicates >” keys and “U,
t’
keys.
Please refer to the item “U] Basic operation/Details of equalizing menu” for details.
@ Rotary encoders (F/1), (Q/2), (G/3)
These are used for adjusting EQ parameter and various settings.
Each rotary encoder serves to adjust F (Frequency), Q (Q), and G (Gain) respectively during the equalizing
process.
When the EQ parameter is not used, each rotary encoder serves for data entry.
The parameters corresponding to these rotary encoders can be checked with marks (®, @, @) displayed on the
screen when the menu is recalled.
® THRU switch
Turn on this switch (LED lights up) when transmitting the input signal in analog from the output terminal directly.
If you turn on the switch when digital input is used, the signal cannot be output. (During analog input, the signal is
output from both the digital and analog systems.)
