(5) Parameter link
To conduct the equalizing operation with the unit, basically either channel should be selected with “L” or “R” key
on the front panel. However, the DEQ5 is provided with a parameter link function so that both channels can be
controlled simultaneously, for stereo source, etc.
[Example 1] When setting EQ data on both channels to the value which is to be modified on the L channel

The LED on the “L” key lights up and the LED on the “R” key flashes, which indicates the parameter link state is
activated.
Lights up Flashing
After modifying the settings of Equalizing, Delay, Hum filter. Attenuator, Filtering, etc., the modified values on
the both channel are set to the same value.
@ To operate each channel separately by cancelling the parameter link status, press either “L” or “R” key.
The key of the pressed channel lights up (the LED of other key is not on.) the the parameter of the channel is
displayed.
(6) Making the EQ characteristics flat
All the “G” values of the channels displayed currently can be returned to zero by using the “FLAT” key on the
front panel.
Also, both channels can be made flat simultaneously using the parameter link feature (see above).
Use the following procedures to make “G” flat.
(T) Press the “FLAT” key once and the following is displayed on the upper right part of the display.
(The set value of “G” is not flat yet at this point.)

) Check the contents of the program being set and press the “FLAT” key to confirm and execute the operation.
A message “FLAT OK” appears on the display and the EQ characteristics become flat.
