Replace the HDD
1. Place the removed carrier with the existing HDD on a flat work surface as shown in
“Figure C-5: HDD Screw Mount Locations” on page 145.
2. Note the orientation of the HDD as installed within the carrier.
3. Remove the two screws shown with call out #1 in “Figure C-5: HDD Screw Mount
Locations” .
4. Rotate the carrier over to view the other side, and remove the 2 remaining screws
securing the HDD to the carrier.
5. Slide the existing HDD out the back of the carrier.
6. Carefully slide the replacement HDD into the carrier. The power and SATA connectors
should be oriented towards the rear of the chassis once the carrier is installed.
7. Align the mounting screws with the mounting holes in the carrier marked HD.
8. Secure the HDD to the carrier using the screws previously removed in steps 3 & 4.
