Welcome!
The Welch Allyn Connectivity Server (WACS) is an option to the Acuity Central Monitoring
System (Acuity System). WACS supports a family of software applications for acute-care
patient monitoring. We hope that you enjoy the expanded flexibility for patient monitoring
that WACS provides.
The Welch Allyn Connectivity Server provides capability for these services.
• WACS Administrator module: Manage WACS configuration and WACS upgrades and
manage clinician accounts and clinician privileges.
• WACS Web Server option: View and print historical printouts of Acuity System
patients from a computer within your hospital information system network.
• WACS AcuityLink option: Receive and respond to secondary notification of Acuity
System patient alarms via mobile devices running the Clinician Notifier program.
• WACS HL7 Interface and XML Interface options: Transfer patient admit/discharge/
transfer (ADT) information from your central or hospital information system network
(CIS/HIS) to the Acuity System. Transfer numeric patient vital-signs data from the
Acuity System to your CIS/HIS.
