Specify patient alarm notification to mobile devices running the Clinician
Notifier program
In the Deliver Events to Respondents section of the Configure Notification window, you
can specify these configurations:
•
Audio or vibratory patient alarm notification on mobile devices (if devices have
vibratory capability)
•
Number of seconds of patient alarming at the Acuity Central Station before WACS
sends initial alarm notification to mobile devices running Clinician Notifier software
•
Alarm (event) delivery mode: Broadcast or Escalation. For details, see
Clinician Notifier alarm delivery modes”
If Escalation Mode is selected:
•
Secondary holdoff time: If no primary responders suspend a patient alarm, the
number of seconds after initial alarm notification before WACS escalates notification
to secondary responders.
If no primary respondents are indicated or reachable, WACS escalates to secondary
responders immediately.
•
Broadcast holdoff time: The number of seconds after initial alarm notification before
WACS broadcasts notification to all mobile devices. This must be set to a value equal
to or greater than the secondary holdoff time.
If no primary or secondary respondents are indicated or reachable, WACS broadcasts
immediately.
