To register mobile devices
1. Next to the device listing, in the Assigned ID column, type up to five characters for
the device ID number.
2. In the Assigned Unit column, click the pull-down menu and select a unit.
3. Click Save Changes.
Your changes are saved.
To change the status of mobile devices
1. Indicate the status change.
• To disable a lost or stolen device:
In the Assigned Unit column next to the device, click the pull-down menu and select
Disabled.
A clinician using the device is immediately logged out. If a clinician attempts to log in
using the device, “This device is not registered, notify Biomedical Engineering”
appears in the initial Clinician Notifier page.
• To delete a device from the list (for repair or replacement, for example):
a. Check the box next to the device listing.
b. Click Delete.
c. In the popup window, click OK.
After deletion, if the device is detected on the network, it appears in the
Notification Device Status page as unregistered.
• To register a device with a different unit:
Next to the device listing, in the Assigned Unit column, click the pull-down menu and
select the new unit.
If the device is in use, the user is logged off.
2. Click Save Changes.
