6. If this is the last task you are performing, replace the front top chassis cover
and the front panel bezel.
Reconnect all external devices and the power cord(s).
4.12 Installing a Z-U130 Solid State Drive
The separately orderable, optional SMART*Modular Z-U130 Value Solid State drive
provides local USB flash memory storage for various uses, such as system information,
diagnostic partitions, and configuration data. There are two places where a solid
state drive can be installed on the NSN2U server; on the front panel board and on the
server board.
Installing a Solid State Drive on the Front Panel Board
1. Remove the front chassis cover. For instructions, see “Removing the Front Cover” in
2. Unfasten the black protective cover over the front panel board.
3. Insert the drive module onto the front panel board by connecting the standoff
(Figure 45, “A”) onto the FP board and the connector on the module onto the FP
board header. (“B”)
4. If this is the last task you are performing, refasten the protective cover over the
FP board and replace the front top chassis cover.
Reconnect all external devices and the power cord(s).
