Number of Stop Bits

The stop bit marks the end of each character transmitted. Set the number
of stop bits to match the host device. The selections are:

1 Stop Bit

2 Stop Bits (default)

Note: We recommend that you set the number of stop bits to 1 when
communicating with an AdaptaScan Bar Code Reader.

Data Bits

Determines the number of data bits for each ASCII character.
The selections are:

7 data bits (default)

8 data bits

Note: We recommend that you set the number of data bits to 8 when
communicating with an AdaptaScan Bar Code Reader.

Intercharacter Delay

Some devices require a delay between characters to process data
(characters are sent at a lower rate). The default is 00 milliseconds, you
can enter a value between 00 and 99 milliseconds.
