Tape Recorder Setup

5. Select the desired function: WRITE TO TAPE, READ FROM TAPE or
VERIFY TAPE.
6. Follow the instructions given by the DL20. The following is an example
of WRITE TO TAPE.
DL20 Prompt
Action Required
WRITE TO TAPE?
Type [Y] [Return] on the terminal.
UNPLUG TERMINAL
Unplug the cable (2706-NC1) from the Industrial Terminal.
HIT STOP/REWIND
Press Stop/Rewind on the data recorder and wait for the tape
to rewind.
PLUG IN 1770-SB
Plug the cable (Catalog No. 2706-NC4) into the
CONTROLLER EQUIPMENT port on the data recorder.
PRESS RECORD ON TAPE
Press Record on Tape button on the data recorder.
PUT TOGGLE ON RECORD
Put toggle switch on cable (Catalog No. 2706-NC4) to the
REC position.
TIME LEFT: 15
(counts down to 1, then additional 10
second delay)
Wait until timer counts down. An additional 10 second pause
will occurs.
ADDR:
(counts up as data is output)
Wait while data is being transferred.
PUT TOGGLE ON OFF
Put toggle switch on cable (Catalog No. 2706-NC4) to the
OFF (middle) position.
HIT STOP / REWIND
Press Stop/Rewind button on the data recorder.
UNPLUG 1770-SB
Unplug the cable (2706-NC4) from the data recorder.
PLUG IN TERMINAL
Reconnect the cable (Catalog No. 2706-NC1) to the Industrial
Terminal port B.
VERIFY TAPE?
Answer [Y] and follow the prompts, press [N] to return to edit.
