If permanently moored n salt water or fresh water,
your boat wll collect marne growth on ts bottom.
Ths wll detract from the boat’s beauty and greatly
affect ts performance. There are two methods of
preventng ths:
• Perodcally haul the boat out of the water and
scrub the bottom wth a brstle brush and a
soluton of soap and water.
• Pant the hull below the waterlne wth a good
grade of antfoulng pant.
DO NOT paint the
engine drive surfaces.
NOTE: There are EPa regulatons regardng bottom
pant applcaton. Consult your Baja
®
dealer for
proper applcaton methods.

Stainless steel and alloy fittings should be cleaned
wth soap and water or household glass cleaner.
Remove rust spots as soon as possble wth a
brass, slver or chrome cleaner. Irreversble pttng
wll develop under rust that remans for any perod
of tme. never use an abrasve lke sandpaper or
steel wool on stanless. These may actually cause
rust. To help protect the stanless, we recommend
the use of a good car wax.

When nstruments are exposed to a saltwater
envronment, salt crystals may form on the bezel
and the plastc covers. These salt crystals should
be removed wth a soft, damp cloth; never use
abrasves or rough, drty cloths to wpe plastc parts.
Mld household detergents or plastc cleaners can
be used to keep the nstruments brght and clean.

Never use a dry cloth or duster or glass cleaning
solutions on acrylic.
To clean acrylic, first flood it with water to wash off
as much drt as possble. next, use your bare hand,
wth plenty of water, to feel and dslodge any caked
drt or mud. a soft, grt-free cloth may then be used
wth a nonabrasve soap or detergent. a soft sponge,
kept clean for ths purpose, s excellent. Blot dry wth
a clean damp chamos.
grease and ol may be removed from acrylc
wth kerosene, hexane, whte (not avaton or
ethyl) gasolne or alphatc naphtha (no aromatc
content).
Do not use solvents such as acetone, silicone
spray, benzine, carbon tetrachloride, fire
extinguisher fluid, dry cleaning fluid or lacquer
thinner on acrylic, since they attack the
surface.
Remove fine scratches with fine automotive acrylic
rubbng and polshng compounds.

Do not fold or store any of the canvas pieces while
wet. all canvas should be rolled or folded when dry and
stored n a clean, dry place. For clear vnyl peces, the
recommended methods for storage are rollng or layng
down flat. The clear vinyl should never be folded or
creased as crackng wll result. To protect the clear vnyl
from rubbing against itself while rolled or stored flat,
place a pece of very soft, nonabrasve cloth between
the peces. If the surface of the clear vnyl becomes
scratched, the canvas manufacturer has provded a
canvas care sheet located n your Owner’s Manual
Packet. When storng the rear (aft) curtan, fold the
canvas over the clear vnyl wndow (do not fold clear
vinyl), then roll or store flat.
The fabrc should be cleaned regularly before substances
such as drt, pollen, etc. are allowed to accumulate
on and become embedded n the fabrc. The fabrc
can be cleaned wthout beng removed from the
nstallaton. smply brush off any loose drt, partcles,
etc.; hose down and clean wth a mld soluton of a
natural soap n lukewarm water (no more than 100°F,
