your boat s equpped wth a stern drve type

propulson system also known as an nboard-

outboard engne. (see Fgure 2.2.2) Ths type of

propulson system has the engne nsde the boat

secured to the hull's strngers at the rear end of

the hull. The stern drve unt, also called the lower

unt because t hangs below the hull, s part of the

propulson system that attaches to the outsde of

the hull or transom. The stern drve unt pvots to

steer the boat.

whch our tests have shown to be the best suted for

general use under normal condtons and load.

Under no circumstances use a propeller which

allows the engine to operate at higher than the

maximum RPM for your engine. (See the Engine

Operator's Manual.)
