The steerng system s an enclosed push-pull cable
that s hydraulcally asssted (power steerng) at the
stern drve end (Fg. 3.6.4). ThE CaBlE anD ITs

lEasT TWICE a yEaR By yOUR BaJa DEalER.

and mantenance recommendatons.
The power steering pump fluid level MUST be
checked every tme pror to usng the boat. Refer
to the steerng system nformaton n your Owner’s
Packet.

1. Move throttle lever all the
way back. Once done,
move shft lever to neutral
poston, whch s located
n the center. let engne
dle for about 5 mnutes
to allow engne to cool
down (Fg. 3.6.1).
2. Turn gnton keys
counter clockwse to turn
off engne (Fg. 3.6.2).
3. If you are leavng the boat
for more than two hours,
turn battery swtches
OFF (Fg. 3.6.3).

Failure of the steering system will cause loss of
control of your boat. Any change in steering such as
looseness, tightness, binding, etc., must be checked
immediately by your Baja dealer.
