The “Hull Identification Number” located on the

starboard sde of the transom, s the most mportant

dentfyng factor and must be ncluded n all

correspondence and orders. Falure to nclude t

creates delays. also of vtal mportance are the

engne seral numbers and part numbers when

wrtng about or orderng parts for your engne. Refer

to the Engne Operator’s Manual for locatons of

engne seral numbers and record them for future

reference.

erTificaTion

as a boat manufacturer, Baja bulds ther products

to gudelnes establshed under the Federal Boat

safety act of 1971. The act s promulgated by the

Unted states Coast guard who has authorty to

enforce these laws on boat manufacturers that sell

products n the Unted states. Baja ensures that all

of ts products comply wth these laws.

The nMMa, natonal Marne Manufacturers

assocaton, provdes Baja wth a thrd party

certfcaton. The nMMa s an organzaton

that represents the marne ndustry and asssts

manufacturers, boat dealers, marnas, repar yards,

and component supplers n areas of legslaton,

envronmental concerns, marne busness growth,

and state and federal government agency nteracton.

The third party certification that Baja participates in

uses the well known standards and Recommended

Practces of the aByC amercan Boat and yacht

Councl.

Baja Marne Corporaton partcpates extensvely

n the amercan Boat and yacht Councl whch s a

nonprofit organization that develops and publishes

voluntary standards and recommended practces for

boat and equpment desgn, constructon, servce,

and repar. We utlze all applcable aByC standards

n the constructon of your Baja boat.

Fnally, Baja sells ther products world wde and

as such must conform to the varous rules and

regulatons requred by other countres. Most

notably, are the IsO standards n Europe whch

requre the applcaton of the CE (Common

European) mark. Ths mark, much lke the nMMa

certification in the U.S., gives you, the boat owner,

specific information concerning your craft.
