cable first, then the positive (+) cable.

• Remove grease and drt from top surface.

termnals and connectors should be replaced

or thoroughly cleaned.

• Inspect the entre blge area for evdence

of damage or deteroraton. Evdence of

deterioration will first appear around hull fittings,

hoses and clamps.

• straghten knked hoses.

• Replace any hose that does not feel plable.

• Check all hose clamps for tghtness and

corroson. Corroded clamps must be replaced.

• Check the nuts, bolts and screws that retan

equpment, hoses, etc. n the blge for tghtness

and corroson. Corroded fasteners must be

replaced.

Once a year, you should undertake a thorough

revew of the topsde equpment, as well as of the

crtcal safety supples on your boat.

• Check cleats, rngs, rals, etc. for loose or

corroded fasteners, breaks, sharp edges or

other condtons that could lead to malfuncton or

unsafe use. Repar or replace as necessary.

• Inspect PFDs (lfe jackets) for tears and

deteroraton.

• Make certan you have enough PFDs on board

for the maxmum number of persons you can

carry.
