The 23 Outlaw standard gasolne fuel system
conssts of a 80 gallon fuel tank, fuel tank vent, an
ant-sphon valve, engne fuel supply lne and fuel
fill (See Figure 5.1.1).
The fuel tank vent serves as a pressure/vacuum
release and safety overflow. The fuel vent is located
nsde the fuel cap on the port sde of the hull.
Perodcally check the vent to assure that t s not
clogged. (see Fgure 5.1.2).

The fuel pck-up at the fuel tank has an ant-sphon
valve to prevent fuel from sphonng out n the event
of lne falure (see Fgure 5.1.1 and 5.1.2). In an
emergency stuaton, remove the ant-sphon valve
f the engne s not gettng fuel. nOTE: Replace wth
new ant-sphon valve or fuel shut off valve as soon
as possble as ant-sphon protecton s requred by
federal law.
