Although I installed a battery pack that should be charged,
the battery status light glows in orange and it is indicated
that the battery is not fully charged.
The battery pack has not been used in a long time, please replace with a
new battery pack and charge it.
If this situation stays like it is, there could be a defect. Please contact your
dealer.
Charge the battery for a while and see what happens.
Other unusual conditions
There is an unusual situation
Turn the computer off and restart it.
The emergency shut down method is described below. The Hibernation
mode will be disabled.
1. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del.
The
End Program
screen appears.
2. Press Alt + S.
The program is shut down compulsory. Please restart the computer.
Other unusual situations
There could be a virus. Please use virus check software to carry out a
virus check if a virus is detected, eliminate it.
I receive unclear messages
If you cannot interpret the messages even after you consulted the manuals
of your system and application, please follow the instructions below.
"Password =" is displayed
A password is set. Enter the correct password and press the Enter key.
In case you forgot the password, please seek assistance at the Toshiba
PC Repair Centre, after confirming the model you are using. The
cancellation of the password at the Toshiba PC Repair Centre has to be
paid for. Also an ID card (a proof the customers identity) has to be
presented at this occasion.
For information on passwords, see the "Security menu details" section in
Chapter 6.
"The entered password is not correct" is displayed
You entered the password while the keyboard was in Caps Lock mode.
Release the Caps Lock mode by pressing Shift + CapsLock and type the
password again.
