Please set the Dialling Properties and the Modem Properties

when you use a "0" to pre-dial.
Setting the dial properties.
1. Open the Control Panel and double click on Telephony.
The

Dialling Properties

screen appears.

2. Go to Caller Location Info tab, then External Line Number,

and enter 0 (zero) using half-width input mode into either Local Call

or Long-Distance Call, whichever is appropriate, and then click on

the OK button.

3. In the Dialling Properties screen, click on the OK button.

4. Open the Control Panel and double click on Modem.
The

Modem Properties

screen appears.

5. Select the your modem in the General tab and click on Properties.
6. In the General tab, under Connection Options, uncheck (remove

the mark) the item Wait for dial tone and then connect,

click on the OK button.

7. In the Modem Properties screen, click on the Close button.

If the check box appears in light colour and you cannot select, click on the
Detail Setup

button and enter X3 in Add Setup.

If you click the Detail Setup button in the Connection tab and there is &F

entered in Add Setup, the transmission will not work even if the items

mentioned above are unchecked.

The modem is defect.
If the modem was damaged by lightning, etc., the "No dial tone" error

message appears.

The built in modem does not connect well to a K56flex site

The transmission mode of the built in modem is not suitable. Please follow

the steps below to enable K56flex in the modem's transmission mode.
Sometimes you cannot make a K56flex connection via PBX or through

telephone lines which do not have the NTT quality. In this case, disable the

K56flex and connect with V.34 mode.
1. Open the Control Panel and double click on Modem.
The

2. Select LT Win Modem and click on Properties.
