3. Click on the Detail Setup button in the Connection tab.
The
Detailed Setup of Connection
screen appears.
4. In Add Setup, enter the following items in half width alphanumeric
characters:
• To enable K56flex: -V90 = 0 S38 = 1
• To disable K56flex: -V90 = 1 S38 = 0
If you disable K56flex, you will connect with V.34 mode. The maximum
connection speed is 33.600bps.
5. Click on the OK button
6. Click on the OK button in the Properties of LT Win Modem
screen
7. In the Modem Properties screen, click on the Close button.
If you made changes or additions in Add Setup, please restart
Windows with the Shut Down Windows option of the Start menu.
After the restart, the K56flex mode is disabled, the V.34 mode is
enabled.
When I dial, I can hear an intermittent "beep" tone at the
same time
With this sign (calling tone) the transmitting terminal lets the destination
terminal know that it is an information device.
This is not a problem when the Internet or computer transmission speed is
over 9600bps, but depending on the connection destination the line could
get cut off directly after connecting. In that case, please follow the steps
below to change the settings.
1. Open the Control Panel and double click on Modem.
The
Modem Properties
screen appears.
2. Click on the modem you are using and click on Properties
3. In the Connection tab, click on the Detail Setup button
4. In Add Setup, enter -C0 (minus c zero) in half width characters
5. Click on the OK button in the Properties of LT Win Modem
screen
6. In the Modem Properties screen, click on the Close button
If you make a transmission without using the Windows modem function,
please add a "^" (caret) in front of the telephone number, then you can
make a call without generating a calling tone.
