39 2B. Making and Answering Calls
Call Settings
1. Press and tap .
2. Tap > Call Settings .
3. Configure the following call settings:
Ⅲ Set reject messages : manages both existing
rejection messages and creates new ones.
Ⅲ Ringtones and keypad tones : allows you to choose
tones and/or vibration to play for incoming calls
and keypad taps.
Ⅲ Call alert : allows you to choose how your phone
alerts you to call status and alerts that occur
during a call.
Ⅲ Answering/ending calls : allows you to choose
whether to allow answering calls by pressing the
Home key, or ending calls by pressing the power
key.
Ⅲ Turn off screen during calls : allows you to choose
whether the screen automatically turns off during
calls, to prevent unintentional entries. When
turned On, the phone will use the proximity
sensor on the front of the phone to detect when
the phone is moved or brought close to another
surface, such as when you move the phone to
your ear.
Ⅲ Call accessories : allows you to set options for using
optional accessories (not included) with calls.
Ⅲ Increase volume in pocket : allows you to have the
phone increase ringtone volume when the
proximity sensor detects the phone is in a pocket or
other close-fitting location, such as a purse or bag.
Ⅲ US dialing: replaces + with International dialing
code.
Ⅲ International dialing: allows you to set then
international dialing code.
Ⅲ TTY mode : allows you to TTY on or off.
Ⅲ DTMF tones : allows you to set the length of Dual-
tone Multi-frequency tones, which play when you
use the keypad during a call, such as when
navigating automated menus.
Ⅲ DDTM : sends voice calls to voicemail during an
active data connection.
Ⅲ Voicemail settings : allows you to set options for
your voicemail.
Ⅲ Voice privacy : allows you to activate an enhanced
privacy mode.
