The switch is not receiving power.

(orange) Off
The normal state; indicates that there are no fault conditions on the switch.
On
On briefly after the switch is powered on or reset, at the beginning of switch
self test. If on for a prolonged time, the switch has a hardware failure, or has
failed its self test.

Link
(green—over-

On
Indicates the port is enabled and receiving a link indication from the connected
device.
Off
One of these conditions exists:
•
no active network cable is connected to the port
•
the port is not receiving link beat (RJ-45 ports)

Mode
(green)
On
If the Act LED Mode Select indicator is lit (5), indicates that the port Mode LEDs
are displaying network activity information.
If the FDx LED Mode Select indicator is lit (5), indicates that the port Mode LEDs
are lit for ports that are in Full Duplex Mode.
If the 100 LED Mode Select indicator is lit (5), indicates that the port Mode LEDs
are lit for ports that are operating at 100 Mbps.
Tape drive problems
This section describes the corrective action for problems with the tape drives.
IMPORTANT:
On LTO4 tape drives, use only FC Port A to connect to the SAN.
The library is unable to communicate with a drive
This is indicated by a Drive Communication Time-out error
•
Reseat the drive.
•
Verify that the drive is set to On from the OCP.
•
Verify cable connections and termination.
The tape drive does not eject a cartridge
•
Attempt the operation from the application software.
•
Open the front door, and press and hold the eject button on the drive in question.
•
Reset the drive from the OCP then attempt unload.
•
If unsuccessful, power off the library, disconnect the FC cables from the tape drive, power the
library back on, open the front door, and press and hold the eject button on the drive in question.
