Store the data cartridge in the plastic enclosure it was shipped in.

Keep tape cartridges out of direct sunlight and away from

heaters.

Store tape cartridge in temperatures between 10

If the tape cartridge has been exposed to heat or cold extremes,
stabilize the cartridge at room temperature for the same amount

of time it was exposed (for up to 24 hours).

Do not place cartridges near electromagnetic interference

sources, such as terminals, motors, and video or X-ray
equipment. Data on the tape can be altered.

Store tape cartridges in a dust-free environment where the

relative humidity is between 20% and 80%. For longer cartridge
life, store the cartridge at 40%

20% relative humidity.

Place an identification label only in the slide-in slot on the front

of the cartridge.

Do not adhere labels to a cartridge anywhere except in the slide-

in slot.
