4.4.4 Displays
The status of the starter in the PROFIBUS is indicated by the "BR" LED.
As soon as this LED lights up green, the starter is in cyclic mode. This means that the PLC has detected the
starter on the bus, has configured it and communicates with it. If the LED does not light, the reason could be
one of the following points:
· 24V supply voltage connected to the starter?
· PROFIBUS cable connected between the PLC and the starter? In
case of direct connection to the terminals, check for switched con-
nections of PBRA and PBRB
· If this is the last participant on the bus, is the termination resistor switched in?
· PLC switched on and configured with the correct GSD file (NORD0DA5.gsd)?
· Does the address which is configured in the PLC match the address which is set on the starter?
LED Meaning
OFF No cyclic process data communication active. See below for causes
ON Normal operation, cyclic process data communication in operation
