Addressing
Addressing of the starter is carried out via two decimal rotary coding switches, see the following illustration.
The PROFIBUS address of the starter can be set within a range of 1 to 99 with the rotary coding switch. If 0
is set, the starter interprets this value as 126. Reading of the address is carried out immediately after the
24V supply to the starter is switched on.
The address is set via two rotary coding switches. The switch labelled "x1 S3" gives the decimal range
between 0 and 9. The switch "x10 S2" multiplies the set value 0 to 9 by 10.
Example:
Switch S2 = 4
Switch S3 = 2
àResulting PROFIBUS address = 42
NOTE
A subsequent change to the address only comes into effect after the mains
supply to the motor starter is switched on again!
