Introduction
This section of the user manual covers preventive and corrective
maintenance procedures appropriate for user personnel. The fol-
lowing areas are covered:
1.
Cleaning the Enclosure. The proper way to clean the ATM
housing.
2.
Replenishing Receipt Paper. Describes how to replace a
spent receipt paper roll.
3.
Card Reader Cleaning. The recommended card reader
cleaning technique.
4.
Card Reader Problems. Servicing card reader problems.
5.
Communication Problems. Servicing communications-
related problems.
Cleaning the Enclosure
The Cash Dispenser front panel is highly durable, resisting
scratches and finger smudges. However, occasional cleaning of
the front panel and the plastic enclosure may be desirable. A soft
dry or slightly damp cloth may be used for cleaning. For best re-
sults, use a weak solution of a mild detergent and water.
IMPORTANT
Only qualified service personnel are authorized to re-
pair or service the terminal. Should a malfunction oc-
cur DO NOT attempt to service the unit yourself! Con-
tact your service provider!
WARNING
Avoid using abrasive cleaners on any surface of the
terminal. Do not spray cleaner liquids directly on the
unit.
