1.) Select TERMINAL CONFIGURATION from the
MANAGEMENT FUNCTIONS menu.
2.) Select SET TERMINAL PARAMETERS.
3.) Choose the SURCHARGE MODE option.
4.) Select ENABLE or DISABLE, as appropriate.
D ESCRIPTION :
Some networks allow a surcharge, or terminal fee, to be imposed
on withdrawal transactions. If surcharges are in use on your net-
work, you are required to notify the customer of an additional fee
before the transaction is processed. He or she must be given a
chance to cancel the transaction. Setting the SURCHARGE MODE
to ENABLED will cause a surcharge notification screen to be dis-
played at some point prior to final processing of the transaction.
The customer is given the choice of canceling the transaction at
no charge or of continuing.
If your network does not allow surcharges, select the DISABLE
option to turn off presentation of the surcharge notification mes-
sage.

Be sure to ENABLE this mode if your network allows surcharges.
