Starting Procedures
When using this product for the first time, make sure to avoid omission and incorrect wiring by
referring to the procedure below. “PC” stated in this section means “PC software”.

Have all the items been delivered?

Installation and Wiring [Refer to Chapter 2.]
Allocate all the controllers, extension I/O units and actuators
and establish the wiring layout by following the instructions
in this manual and an instruction manual of each device.
Power Boot
Connect a PC or teaching pendant, set AUTO/MANU
switches on XSEL-R/S related controllers to [MANU]
position, and then turn the power ON.

Program creation
Create a program by operating the teaching tool

By operating the teaching tool such as PC, set the
safety speed valid and execute the program in 1
line to another to check the operation.
Operation Check
Set AUTO/MANU switches on XSEL-R/S related controllers
to [AUTO] position and check the operation by the system.
Parameter Setting

Establish the parameter settings of the XSEL-R/S
related controllers by operating the teaching tool
such as PC.
