To manually setup a Serial (COM) Port...
Any unused serial ports (i.e. not used by a device driver)
will be listed in the Serial Devices folder. These can be
configured manually as follows:

Click on the appropriate port number (e.g. COM1,
COM2, etc.) in the Serial Devices folder.
The Port Settings and Serial Commands areas will appear
in the workspace.

In the Port Settings area, adjust the various
parameters as required:
* All settings must match the data format expected by (or
received from) the external switchers/devices.
Sets the Baud rate* of the data
Sets the number of Data bits*
Sets the Parity of the data
Sets the number of Stop bits
Sets the Flow control
