CHAPTER 2 WAFER-LX MOTHERBOARD
2.1 INTRODUCTION
The FPC6065 and FPC6084 flat screen PC both contain the WAFER-LX motherboard. The
motherboard is the heart of any computer and is responsible for transmitting, receiving and
processing data as well as driving the different onboard devices. This chapter gives a brief introduc-
tion to the WAFER-LX motherboard. For more complete details on the connectors and the different
implementations of the WAFER-LX, please refer to the WAFER-LX user guide.
2.2 CPU SUPPORT
The WAFER-LX series motherboards all come with a preinstalled AMD® Geode™ LX 800 500MHz
CPU.
