Chapter 3 Configuring the NewsBrowse System
Configure Ingest Scheduler: NewsBrowse server
The page defines resources available and operating parameters for ingest jobs.
Add the encoder as an ingest channel.
For “Video/Audio Router…” settings, refer to
. If you are configuring the basic Encoder + Server stage, do
not yet configure these settings.

Open this page locally on the NewsBrowse server.

Number of previous days of ingest history

Minimum back-to-back delay in seconds between records on the same channel.
Default value is 29.

Machine name (from host file) of Router Gateway.

Saves changes. Changes are lost if you leave the configuration page without

Select the MDI for the encoder. This specifies the encoder as an ingest channel.

Enter a useful name for the channel. This is displayed in the NewsBrowse
application.

Adds the above specified encoder as an ingest channel

Adds the selected date suffix automatically to high-res clips
