Configuration Process
Note
The maximum length allowed for a Settings name is 16 characters.

Click the
System Connection (file Menu)
button to add the System
Connections option to the File menu. This menu option provides a list
of available connections that have been saved and can be used to
connect to a server.
4.
Select the preferred Protocol from the drop-down list. ES-LAN is the
only available option.
5.
Enter the IP address of the AccuSwitch Controller associated with this
VSD in the Primary IP Address field.
6.
Enter the IP address of the secondary AccuSwitch Controller (if
applicable) in the Secondary IP Address field.
7.
Select a number between 1 and 64 for the Device ID field. This number
must be unique for panels associated with the same AccuSwitch
Controller. The Device ID is also entered on the MPK Devices table,
which is described in MPK Table Entries
.
Note
The Device ID number selected in the Device ID field corresponds to the MPK
table Address entry that uses two digit leading-zero numbers (01-09).
8.
Select the IP address, if it is not already selected, from the PC IP
Address drop-down list.
9.
Select the
Connect
button.
Clicking the Close Button Without Saving the Settings
The Save Network Connection(s) dialog (
)will appear
if a new connection has been created or changes have been made to an
existing connection and the
Close
button is clicked before the connection
settings have been saved.
The Save Network Connection(s) dialog will prompt you to save the
changes.
