12-9.2 Begin Mapping - 2

Menu selection 2 begins the mapping process. Physically identify and mark points on the floor map. The
points should be easily accessible and somewhat evenly spaced. Number the points and record their
location (their distance from the control panel) on the reference map.

Short the cable at these points using a damp paper towel or sponge. Once you short a point, wait for the
leak to be detected - annunciated by a long (3 second) beep. Remove the short and wait for the all clear
signal - annunciated by a short (1 second) beep.

Mark the points on the reference map with the distances as measured by the LD5000. Once the cable is
mapped, select option 1 from the Mapping Mode Menu to view the new map.
