17 If you are using the TCP/IP configuration (refer to page 28 ), skip this step. Connect second
adapter (marked PC) to the LAN. If you loaded a temporary IP address and port number,
contact the Network Administrator (or IT personnel) to verify the values are compatible with
the LAN. Change these values if necessary. This adapter should also be connected to the PC
that will be used for communicating to the Gasboy system via the Q13240-09 cable that was
supplied with the kit. If you are using Direct Connect Mode, start a terminal session (for
example, HyperTerminal) on the communication PC, repeat step
12 above. If you are using
Modem Emulation Mode, start a terminal session (for example, HyperTerminal) on the
communication PC, repeat step
14 above. If these tests fail when connected to the LAN, it may
be a LAN security issue. The Network Administrator or IT personnel will need to investigate
and/or make changes.
