Serial-to-LAN Connection Installation
When you use modem emulation, use the IP address and port number of the Gasboy system
adapter as the number to dial. A comma or a back-slash must separate the IP address and port
number. For example, to connect to a Gasboy system with an IP address 10.28.46.51 and port
number of 1001, enter the number to dial as 10.28.46.51,1001 or 10.28.46.51/1001.
Using the example and connecting via a program such as Hyper Terminal, a command
ATDT10.28.46.51,1001 is issued to contact the Gasboy system.
When you use a Gasboy PC package (such as PC/TopKAT, PC/1000, PC/CFN) with modem
emulation, use IP address and port number for the “Phone Number” to dial. In the package
setup, select the Gasboy Default Modem. For the site phone number, enter the IP address and
port number as shown in
Figure 29 .
