7 At the Test PC, open a command prompt session. At the command prompt, type the command
ping followed by the IP address for the Gasboy system adapter (for example, ping
192.168.1.101) and then press ENTER. Verify there are a series of Reply from messages and
no errors. If errors are returned, ensure the adapter is powered and check the cross cable
connection. It may be necessary to change the Test PC IP address so that the first three sets of
numbers are the same as the adapter IP address (for example, 192.168.1). If errors are still
being returned, try another adapter.
