BAudrate
Retrieve the rate at which communication will take place with the controller. On initial power up this
rate is set to the default of 9600 baud. Returns BA . The is one of the following:

for 300 baud.

3

for 600 baud.

4

for 1200 baud.

5

for 2400 baud.

6

for 4800 baud.

7

for 9600 baud.


BAudrate
Set the rate at which communications will take place with the controller. Returns BA. This
command is only permitted after protection has been removed with the PWord command. The baud
rate will not actually change until the instrument is reset.

FUnction
Retrieve the code indicating the function for which the 2AP is being used. Returns FU
. The is one of the following:

0

no function. The 2AP will not move.

1

standard operation. The 2AP moves in response to motion commands.
Homes to (90,90).

2

standard operation. The 2AP moves in response to motion commands.
Homes to (90,0).

3

reserved for future use.

4

suntracking. Following the sun.

5

active correction. Following the sun and adjusting clock daily.

6

active tracking. Following the sun using the sun sensor for minor adjustment.

7

suntracking setup. Following the sun, using the sun sensor for minor
adjustment and adjusting the clock daily.

FUnction
Set the code indicating the function for which the 2AP is being used. Returns FU. This command is
only permitted after protection has been removed with the PWord command. If the instrument was
suntracking and is given a non-suntracking function, it will continue to follow the sun until it is sent a
HO command.

LL
Retrieve the latitude, longitude and nominal atmospheric pressure recorded for the site. Returns
LL . Latitude and longitude are in degrees while
atmospheric pressure is in millibars.

LL
Set the latitude, longitude and nominal atmospheric pressure recorded for the site. Returns LL.
The permissible values for latitude are -90 to 90 with negative values representing South latitude.
The permissible values for longitude are -180 to 180 with negative values representing West
longitude. This command is only permitted after protection has been removed with the PWord
command.

ORigin
Retrieve the origin for all motors. Returns OR . Origins are reported
as degrees clockwise (CW) from the reference sensor. Hence a negative number is used for
origins counter-clockwise (CCW) of the reference sensor.
