8.1 PROBLEM CHECK-LIST
Check the items in the following list. If these do not help, see the following section on
troubleshooting.
Check that:
1) power is supplied to the unit. See chapter 3.
2) the power and communications cables are correctly connected and the connections at the
terminal blocks are tightened securely.
3) the electrical outlet to which the unit is connected is working. Test the outlet by plugging in
a lamp or other electrical device.
4) the voltage selection switches are set correctly to suit the power supply. See chapter 3.
5) the power fuses are the correct rating and have not blown. See chapter 3.
6) all the internal electrical connections are secure and were not loosened during shipping.
7) the communications cable is connected to the computer correctly. See chapter 3.
The 2AP does not follow the sun properly, what can be wrong?
2AP Configuration Checklist:

Is the 2AP internal time within 10 seconds compared to GMT, see section 4.6.1?

Are the longitude, latitude and altitude location parameters entered correctly, section 4.6.2?
The 2AP is installed, confirmed all configuration parameters to be set correctly, but 2AP still does
not follow the sun properly, what can be wrong?
Instrument set up checklist:

Check the time (within +/- 10 seconds compared to GMT)

Check longitude and latitude parameters and the North/South and East/West settings

Check if the 2AP is properly levelled, section 4.4

Check if the side plates are properly levelled
-
Check if the side mounting plates are properly levelled, section 4.5.3
- If all above steps have been checked (certainly if an adjustment to the 2AP set up is made)
perform the Sighting Adjustments Procedure, section 4.6.4 or 4.6.5.
Note: In case the optional sun sensor is already aligned with the attached radiometers, steps 1
to 5 may be skipped in the Adjustments Procedure (page 2) of the Win2AP software.
