8 SOLVING

PROBLEMS


The 2AP is designed for long periods of operation with little operator maintenance. However, if a
problem occurs that cannot be corrected by using the standard operating information supplied in the
preceding sections of this manual, use the information in this chapter to identify and solve the
problem.

If the problem cannot be corrected after reviewing the information in the following section, contact
Kipp & Zonen. When contacting Kipp & Zonen with technical assistance questions, ensure you have
the following information readily available to aid the technician in solving your problem:

The model number and serial number of the 2AP. This information is listed on the
identification labels, located on the interior of the unit and on the side of the main housing.


The number and version of the operating software for the 2AP. This information can be
obtained from the label on the CD-ROM delivered with the unit or by running the "About"
command while operating the software.


The number and version of the operating firmware for the 2AP. This information can be
obtained by running the VE command in the CMD ultility (see section 5.4).

Save or print the configuration and history files needed by the manufacturer. See
Troubleshooting from the Main Menu, go to page 4.


If you cannot solve the problem by the steps on the next pages, email or fax the configuration and
history files to your nearest Kipp & Zonen facility, as listed below:
