METHODS
If the titrant unit is selected as M (mol/L) and the final sample unit as g/Kg (grams/kilogram)
the formula used to generate the result is displayed below:
Some variables can be set according to the amount of sample and titrant used.
Sample Calculations by Volume
This calculation should be used when the concentration of an analyte is determined in a
liquid sample. The results are based on the initial sample volume (in milliliters). When
choosing the formula, select the Titrant Unit first and then the Final Sample Unit.
The titrator will perform the calculation based on the titrant and the sample units selected.
Titrant Units:
M (mol/L)
(moles/liter)
N (eq/L)
(equivalences/liter)
g/L
(grams/liter)
mg/L
(milligrams/liter)
Final Sample Units:
ppt (g/L)
(parts per thousand; grams/liter)
ppm (mg/L)
(parts per million; milligrams/liter)
ppb (µg/L)
(parts per billion; micrograms/liter)
